24 February 2016 in Munich

22.01.2016 – The INGEDE Symposium 2016 will take place on Wednesday, February 24th, 2016 from 9:30 to 17:00 at "Haus der Bayerischen Wirtschaft" in Munich, room "Europasaal".

Print is not dead! Print is advantageous to electronic media! Martyn Eustace of Two Sides UK will give a keynote presentation at the INGEDE Symposium. Martyn will review consumer attitudes towards print media as well as explain the Two Sides and Print Power campaigns which inform both consumers and media specifiers about the attractiveness, sustainability and incredible effectiveness of print and paper in a multi-channel world.

In Japan, paper recycling is similar to Europe, still there are some differences in the composition of the household collection. Hence there are also some differences in the evaluation. Shisei Goto of Nippon Paper will present about "The Assessment and development of easy-recyclable printing materials in Japan".

Ulla ForsströmUlla Forsström of VTT (Finland) will present the EU-funded REFFIBRE Project where tools will be developed for the paper and board industry that can instantly provide the needed information regarding the impact of new production processes, raw material input and product innovations, as well as the influence on the recyclability of the end product. The tools enable paper makers to consider innovations affecting profitability in the value chain.

Adhesives from recycled paper can lead to sticky deposits in the paper machine. Fully dispersible/soluble adhesives might be an alternative when removable products are not available. Thierry Delagoutte of CTP presents a new test method to assess the dispersible character during repulping and simple tests including colloidal stability evaluation and possible control by process additives. This method is being developed in the course of an INGEDE Project.

Registration: Free of charge for member companies, representatives of associations and the press, for all others please understand that we charge 200 EUR to cover our expenses. Please contact us for an invitation if you're not on our mailing list yet.

The venue is within walking distance from Munich Central Station. See how to find to the "Haus der Bayerischen Wirtschaft"

On the site of Haus der Bayerischen Wirtschaft: There are no parking places available, the garage still undergoes a renovation. Paid parking on the streets around is possible but usually very limited.

Due to heavy traffic and difficult parking it is recommended to use public transport:

The S-Bahn coming from the airport stops close at Karlsplatz (leave the airport with either S1 or S8, both are arriving after about 40 minutes; trains to and form the airport leave about every ten minutes). Exit the S-Bahn station towards Lenbachplatz/Ottostraße, follow Ottostraße until Max-Joseph-Straße (on your left). Walking distance from Karlsplatz is about five minutes.

Coming from Munich Hauptbahnhof leave the building towards Elisenstraße, cross Elisenstraße and follow it to your right towards Karlsplatz, pass Sophienstraße (on your left) and turn left at Ottostraße (Tram tracks), follow Ottostraße until Max-Joseph-Straße (on your left). You can also take the tram 27 towards Petuelring or tram 28 towards Scheidplatz for one stop (Ottostraße).

Hotel Information
There are many hotels in the central Munich area. Due to the low season quite reasonable (currently from 49 EUR incl. tax excl. breakfast) and right across the street north of Hauptbahnhof is Hotel Amba*** (www.hotel-amba.de).

Here for the nights around the 2016 symposium we suggest you book yourself via the hotel website; we were not able to negotiate rates that are even better. Prices on the hotel's website are always 10 % below the rates on HRS or other booking sites.

From this hotel you can walk to the venue within less than 15 minutes.
