Oosterhout, 24 May 2017 – The existing ten-year collaboration between Centro Stampa Quotidiani (CSQ) and Q.I. Press Controls (QIPC) is about to be intensified. After having previously installed the IDS-3D system for automatic colour and dampening control on four towers of its Wifag OF370GTD printing press, CSQ has now placed an order for the same system on a further five towers. “The new order reflects the huge level of confidence in the system.”

Proven worth
For CSQ, this represents the fifth order since the start of the collaboration with QIPC in 2005. “In fact, this order is identical to the last one in 2015,” explains CSQ’s general manager, Dario de Cian. “We’re now expanding the IDS-3D system to the  second part of the press.” According to Dario De Cian, the IDS-3D system has more than proved its worth over the last two years.

IDS-3D makes good on QIPC’s promises
CSQ’s reasoning behind the order is the same as with the previous one. “Our aim is to work even more efficiently,” says Dario de Cian. On top of that, thanks to the IDS-3D system, CSQ envisages an increased quality in the printed matter rolling off its press. “CSQ has first-hand experience of the IDS-3D system living up to its promises,” explains Carlo Caporizzi, who, as agent for GMDE, mediates between the two parties. In fact for CSQ, QIPC was the only serious option when it came to expanding the automation systems on its press. Carlo Caporizzi: “Not only is the quality enhanced, start-ups are much quicker too.”

Clear signal
The new order, and in particular the confidence it engenders, provides QIPC with another excellent reference on the Italian market. “This is a clear signal to other printing companies in Italy,” claims Jaco Bleijenberg. “CSQ is a state-of-the-art printing plant. The fact that they have singled us out to help them expand their automation systems is a fantastic reward for all our hard work. It’s not just the fact that our system is working on their press, more so that we have a satisfied client who is prepared to keep on coming back. It shows that it’s not all about the system: good cooperation and support in the long term are also highly valued.”
