Stephen Komives is an executive director of the Society for News Design, a role he assumed in 2009 after spending 20 years as an editor and visual director at several newspapers, most recently at the Orlando Sentinel. He is a graduate of the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism. As leader of SND, he serves as an ambassador for visual journalism around the globe, and has created initiatives to push SND’s digital programs and its international mission.
