Reading, UK, 08.06.11 — Atex announces that Federico Marturano has been appointed Atex Managing Director Italy. Marturano will work within the region to strengthen Atex’s position as a leading supplier of innovative products and services for media rich industries. Marturano will also oversee new business development and drive Atex’s accelerated growth into the digital marketplace.
Prior to joining Atex, Federico Marturano was responsible for managing the turnaround of L’Unione Editoriale S.p.A., a regional media conglomerate in the Sardinian market. As Group CEO, he spearheaded the company’s adoption of a new business model that focused on achieving financial and operational synergies among its different media departments. Marturano also played a significant role as Managing Director of the online-activities for Monrif Net, the new media business of the MONRIF Group-Poligrafici Editoriale. In addition, he was founder and CEO of Italia News, the first Italian syndication in online advertising.
