30.09.11 - In tandem with specialist agency avenit in Offenburg, German press manufacturer Koenig & Bauer AG (KBA) has revamped its website to enhance the visual impact and make it more user-friendly. The fresh, streamlined design and editorially modified content reflect the group’s aim to project a clear-cut corporate and product image that dispenses with superfluous, time-consuming extras.
The page structure has been simplified and functions improved to make searching for specific information much easier and faster. For example, videos have been integrated in the product pages, a mouseover glossary of print-related terms provided, a platform for online job applications added and download and contact details expanded. As ever, current news concerning the KBA group and international markets are a prime focus.
Alongside the parent company’s website (www.kba.com) there are dedicated pages for German subsidiaries – KBA MetalPrint in Stuttgart (www.kba-metalprint.com), KBA Metronic (www.kba-metronic.com) and KBA MetroPrint (www.kba-metroprint.com) in Veitshöchheim – and native-language internet sites for major KBA sales offices in France, the UK, Poland and the USA. These will be expanded to include other foreign operations and languages.
The relaunch was accompanied by a new content management system that is less complex and centralised and more efficient. It also allows faster updates, enhancing the quality of information and thus the site’s appeal to users worldwide. The new portrait-format page layout supports faster navigation with mobile output devices such as iPads or smart phones.
