20.05.2014 - The Ecuadorian newspaper El Telégrafo has completed its technological renewal project, the aim of which was to achieve a more modern newsroom allowing it to be present on all media with the best possible quality. For this modernisation process, El Telégrafo relied on Protecmedia and its Milenium editorial system, as well as its viewers for the different digital channels.

Following completion of the project, El Telégrafo now has an integrated newsroom within the same workflow, thanks to which the journalists can prepare their news stories without worrying about the channel on which they will ultimately be published. In addition, all of them work with the same interface, which simplifies and facilitates this daily work. Journalists are therefore able to prepare their news stories and publish them easily on any of the newspaper’s output channels, without having to duplicate contents.

El Telégrafo is also now available on the main two tablets iPad and Android. Using the viewers specifically designed by Protecmedia for these devices, the newspaper offers its readers a new experience, making the most of the possibilities to enrich content through audiovisual elements. Thus, the versions for tablets of El Telégrafo include photo galleries, videos, infographics, and so on, all of which are included for these versions in a quick and simple manner.
