While welcoming the release from prison of six Turkish journalists, the World Association of Newspapers and News Publishers (WAN-IFRA) and the World Editors Forum urge the Turkish authorities to do more to respect the freedom of the press and to end the harassment of critical voices.
The World Association of Newspapers and News Publishers (WAN-IFRA), has called on the Turkish government to stop jailing journalists and to guarantee freedom of the press in Turkey, which imprisons more journalists than any country in the world.
