Summary

The digitisation of the page make-up process has led to the fast development of a number of direct to plate solutions using newly developed plates with sufficient sensitiveness and durability. Today, also other requirements for totally digital operation are viable, i.e. digital mass storage, digital archiving and digital proofing.
