Information

  • Allein Moore was born in England and studied graphic design and photography at provincial colleges and the famous London College of Printing & Design. He gained the degree equivalent in Marketing during his early years in advertising as well as a diploma from London Film Academy.

A love of typography (he was a member of the Printing Historical Society) led him to his first job as typographer. Allein went on to have a successful career in London and Geneva as an art director and then copywriter, with a brief spell teaching BA in design in Essex.

During his successful career in Asia, he won over 40 local and international creative awards as a designer, art director and copywriter. Allein was the Creative Director at Saatchi-Compton (Saatchi & Saatchi), Leo Burnett and Executive Creative Director and Board Director of Chiat/Day/Mojo Singapore.

At the end of 2000, he moved into publishing and started a publication for the advertising and marketing industry called 'AdAsia', which within 15 months was voted Best Trade Media by the Society of Publishers (SOPA). His second publication 'Designer' also won in the following year.

Allein was a founding member of the Creative Circle of Singapore and was the Chairman from 1981 - 1984. He also founded and became the first President of the Designers Association of Singapore, a position he held for four years.

He currently sits on the Advisory Board of the School of Design at the Nanyang Polytechnic.

He became a Master Trainer in 1999 and helped train staff of several corporations. In early 2010, he qualified as a trainer, course developer and assessor and conducts courses around the region.

Allein is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and past member of the Chartered Society of Designers (UK).
