Head of Native, Fairfax Media, Australia

Nada joined Fairfax Media in 2012 in the role of Senior Product Manager. As an integral member of the mobile product team, she was responsible for the award winning Sydney Morning Herald and The Age m-sites. She later moved on to the world of native apps where she currently looks after a suite of smartphone and tablet products including the highly successful iPad apps for The Sydney Morning Herald and The Age.

Her current role as Head of Native includes driving the product vision, product strategy, roadmap and audience growth for the suite of Fairfax Media masthead and business apps. App monetisation is another key focus area of her role, where she works closely with the commercial team to optimise campaigns and capture ad spend. Launching new mobile products, particularly on emerging platforms, is also something which she drives – and is passionate about.

Previous to her role at Fairfax Media, Nada started her career as a journalist for the local newspaper back in her home country of Samoa. She has also had a number of other roles within the media including writing for magazines and a stint as a TV presenter.

Nada realised her passion lay in online media when she started working as a content producer in Auckland. This led to a product management role at Yahoo!7 in Sydney, where she spent four years managing various content verticals including Lifestyle and Entertainment.

Ultimately Nada’s aim is to deliver mobile products that users love.
