Vivian Salama is Baghdad bureau chief for The Associated Press. For more than a decade, Salama has worked as a television and print journalist across the Middle East, North Africa and South Asia. Prior to that, she was the show producer for WNBC's Today in New York. Salama speaks Arabic and holds a master's degree in Middle East and Islamic Studies from Columbia University. She also authored a lengthy study on jihadis' media propaganda, contained in "Radicalization, Terrorism and Conflict," a book published by Cambridge Scholars in 2013.
