Muharrem Yaşar has been working at the Zaman dailywhich is a broadsheet newspaper, has a daily circulation of more than 1,000,000. Although he is of engineering background, he has mostly concentrated on print quality during the time he spent working at Zaman.

He has contributed to various major projects including the purchase and installation of five new printing machines for their facilities, and an investment project in computer-to-plate (CTP) technology. His current responsibilities include quality management and overseeing the transfer of existing programs to the new ERP system as well as introducing new programs on the system. Company is interested in installing heatset towers and turning the existing machines into hybrids as future projects.

As part of his current position as Zaman’s Quality Manager, he oversees quality engineers at printing facilities. At Zaman, quality is understood as an integrated system comprised of Environmental Management Systems (EMS), Occupational Health and Safety (OHS), and compliance with ISO standards. Yaşar will explain the specifics and workings of the printing quality system at Zaman’s facilities.
