Manajit Ghoshal started his career as a trainee in Hindustan Lever and then branched out with various functions in strategy and corporate finance in companies like KPMG, Cadburys, Johnson, Searl India and CMS computers. He has worked extensively in the field of fund raising, valuations, mergers and acquisitions and project finance.  He joined Mid-Day Multimedia Ltd.  as the CFO in the year 2002.  He was made the MD and the CEO of Mid-Day Infomedia Ltd in 2008 and worked extensively in the successful merger of Mid-Day with Jagran Prakashan Ltd, the Group that has the World's largest circulated daily. 

 He is presently heading all organisational functions of sales, marketing, editorial and distribution and reports into the Board of Directors.  During his tenure as the MD and CEO, Mid-Day has been rated the most innovative media brand by the Pitch magazine survey and Mid-Day has won multiple awards for its innovations and events at many National and International Forums. During his time Mid-Day has also been the fastest growing English newspaper in percentage terms in the city of Mumbai.  During his tenure Gujarati Mid-Day has become the No. 2 paper in Mumbai and Inquilab continues to be undisputed No. 1 Urdu newspaper in country.  He has also recently launched an Entertainment website called FullyFilmi.com which covers Bollywoood.
