Patrick Zürcher has been, since 2001, Operating Manager and Company Secretary of the Freiburger Druck GmbH & Co. KG which belongs to the Badisches Press GmbH & Co. KG group of companies which, among others, publishes the Badische Zeitung.
In 2005, the electrical engineer and economist was a pioneer user of waterless newspaper printing technology. The recipient of many awards and accolades for its efforts in environmental protection and the high print quality which underpins his slogan: "Print ecologically at the top level."
