Angela Cullen
Angela Cullen is the Bureau Chief for Bloomberg News in Germany. She joined Bloomberg's Frankfurt bureau in 2005 after reporting on the pharmaceutical industry for Dow Jones Newswires and for the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung's English-language service. In her 18 years of reporting on Germany, Cullen has covered the breakup of Hoechst AG, drug mergers and acquisitions including Sanofi Synthelabo SA's hostile bid for Aventis SA and Bayer AG's white knight takeover of Schering AG as well as the collapse of German billionaire Adolf Merckle's empire and his desperate efforts to escape the biggest short squeeze in German stock market history, when Porsche SE tried to acquire Volkswagen AG. Born in Letterkenny, Ireland, Cullen has a BA Hons from the University of Ulster at Coleraine in Northern Ireland. She lives in Frankfurt with her husband and their two daughters.
