After his studies in Munich and Rochester Moritz Schwarz started his career at Fraunhofer Institute for Computer Graphics as full time researcher. He worked in the international specialists development team of CIP4 JDF specifying abstract workflows of the Graphic Arts Industry. Other projects for industry customers focused on colour measurements, pre-flight-software, internet based ad production software and training issues.

As Chief Technical Officer he worked for Bauer publishing group subsidiary: Magdeburger Verlags- und Druckhaus and was responsible for the daily production of the large regional newspaper Volksstimme and all other products.

Being head of the six technical departments (IT, CTP, press, post press, technical maintenance, building technology) in this highly automated production environment with approximately 90 employees he was instrumental in further improving the technical and organisational efficiency of the different production processes. Later Moritz Schwarz was promoted to general manager.

Since 2004 he works at WAN-IFRA headquarters in Darmstadt focusing on production processes and quality issues. Besides his main activity as Consulting Manager he executes Consulting projects himself and is member of the Newspaper Production Committee. He uses his expertise on production issues also for training activities and publications in the WAN-IFRA magazine.
