Since April 2013 Marica has headed the Media Services Department at Kurierverlags GmbH & Co. KG, which consists of the production desk (production planning), ad desk (coordinating ad production) and graphics (both internal and external graphic services). In addition to her professional work she is also studying business information technology part-time in Wismar, Germany.
In 2012, Marica Verjaal was responsible for the successful changeover from a Rhenish to a Berliner format and the subsequent relaunch of the daily newspaper.
