Björn Schmidt has been working with DuMont since 1985, originally as a member of the editorial team for the Kölner Stadt-Anzeiger (KStA) daily newspaper, and later from 2006 to 2011 as managing editor and member of the senior editorial team for the KStA. He has been Managing Director of DuMont Net, DuMont Digitale Redaktion and the Netzeitung online newspaper since 2011. In addition to his role as Managing Director of these three companies, he has also been heading up the digital section of the DuMont media group since March 2012.
