2014
View our campaign information, materials and resources in connection to our Golden Pen of Freedom laureate, journalist and writer Eskinder Nega, jailed in Ethiopia on terrorism-related charges.


In the lead up to 3 May 2014, we ran the '30 Days for Freedom' campaign, highlighting the plight of jailed journalists worldwide by selecting a case per day and providing detailed information on their background and denouncing their supposed 'crimes'. Over 25 million people were reached by the hashtag #FreethePress connected to the campaign.
