Marta Gleich, 52, is the executive editor of Zero Hora and seven other RBS Group newspapers in Southern Brazil.

She started working for the RBS group 31 years ago, as an intern, when she was still a journalism student. She was a reporter, editor and editor-in-chief for Zero Hora for ten years. She is a member of the company’s Editorial Committee since its inception in 1997. From 2008 to 2011, she was responsible for the company’s internet expansion, launching websites for its newspapers, radio and television stations in Rio Grande do Sul and Santa Catarina. In 2011, she oversaw the implementation of the RBS Group’s Digital Products Unit at Technopuc.

In 1985, she received her bachelor's degree from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS); and in 1997 and 2007, specialized in Journalism Management and Digital Journalism at The International Institute of Social Sciences (IICS) in São Paulo. In 2004, she received a scholarship from the International Center for Journalists (ICFJ) in Washington, DC, where she worked and studied US newspapers for five weeks in order to enhance knowledge related to Multimedia Journalism.
