Andrew Nachison

Founder, We Media

Andrew Nachison is a writer, journalist, digital media analyst, strategist, futurist, entrepreneur, adviser and explorer.

He’s founder of We Media (www.wemedia.com), a digital media company and consultancy best known for conferences about networked knowledge and culture. Since 2004, We Media conferences have informed and ignited scores of new projects, relationships, solutions, partnerships, investments, collaborations and key connections among publishers, journalists, marketers, technology companies, NGOs, startups, social entrepreneurs, activists, philanthropies, educators and digital creatives worldwide.

Before We Media, Andrew led research and strategy programs about the future of news as director of The Media Center at the American Press Institute; and before that he was a journalist and online publishing pioneer. He reported and edited for The Associated Press; wrote articles for The New York Times, Infoworld, Audubon and other magazines; and was editor and general manager for one of the world’s most ambitious and innovative Web 1.0 small-market online newspapers and hyperlocal community hubs, lawrence.com.

Andrew has published two short fiction stories, written many others and swears there’s more to come. He studied philosophy at Dartmouth College and lives with his wife and two sons in Reston, Virginia.
