Mark Hollands is the Chief Executive of The Newspaper Works and Chairman of The Readership Works, the owner of the audience measurement service, emma. He has 20-plus years' experience in media and spent an additional 15 years in senior management roles in the technology and financial service industries. He is a former Asia-Pacific Sales Director of Dow Jones Inc. and Asia Vice-President of Gartner Inc., the world's largest ICT research company. As a journalist, he has been Foreign Editor of The Australian and Herald & Weekly Times. He was Chief Sub-Editor of the Post-Courier in Port Moresby in the 80s and later worked as an editor and reporter for London-based newspapers, The Times and Daily Mail. Currently, he is Secretary-General of the Federal Government's Code of Practice for Sports News Reporting, a director of a not-for-profit, The Food Distribution Network, and an ambassador for the NSW Government's Business Sydney. He has just published his first novel, a crime thriller called Amplify.
