 03-02-2012  Foundation of manroland web systems GmbH

The business of the manroland web printing division based in Augsburg that was taken over by L. Possehl & Co. mbH is to be continued by the newly-founded "manroland web systems GmbH" with about 1400 employees. Uwe Lüders, Chairman of the Board of the Possehl Group, will take over the management of the company on a preliminary basis. He will be supported by a management team of five.

01-02-2012  British Langley Group takes over manroland sheet-fed

An investor solution has been found for the Offenbach location of the insolvent manroland AG. "The privately owned British engineering group, Langley Holdings plc in Nottinghamshire, will take over all production facilities (including all real estate in Offenbach) of the sheet-fed printing equipment division as well as the complete international marketing organisation in more than 40 countries", according to a press release issued by Langley Holdings on 1 February 2012. Some 860 employees will be taken over.

 

01-02-2012  manroland insolvency proceedings opened

Today, 1st Februar 2012, the insolvency proceedings for manroland AG were opened. According to a press release issued by the law firm of insolvency administrator Werner Schneider, indications are that about 55% of the jobs at the insolvent company can be saved.

23-01-2012  manroland: More than 2000 jobs lost

On Monday (23 January) manroland employees were informed about the details of the decision announced the week before by the creditors' committee to break up the company and eliminate jobs at the three locations.

 

16-01-2011 Decision in the matter of manroland insolvency expected for Wednesday

In an announcement today (16 January), insolvency administrator Werner Schneider raised hopes "that the continued existence of the three manroland locations in Augsburg, Offenbach and Plauen can be assured by a sale". It is planned to present two bidder concepts to the creditors' committee on Wednesday for its decision.

 

09-01-2012  MAN and ACP promise financial support

According to a press release published by the IG Metall trade union on 09.01.2012, MAN and Allianz Capital Partners have agreed to provide EUR 24 million to fund personnel training and transitional companies at the manroland locations.

04-01-2012  Hopes for continued existence of all three manroland production sites

According to a press release issued by the lawyer's office of Schneider, Geiwitz & Partner, the prospects for the sale of major parts of the insolvent manroland AG have further improved.

02-12-2011  manroland: Continuation of business operations secured

As manroland stated in a press release dated 2nd December 2011, the creditor banks have approved a credit with a total volume of EUR 55 million for the company. Thus continued business operation is guaranteed.

25-11-2011  manroland files petition to initiate insolvency proceedings

manroland AG today (25 November 2011) filed a petition to initiate insolvency proceedings with the jurisdictional district court at Augsburg, after the negotiations with a potential investor have failed on the home stretch.

16-11-2012  manroland seeks a financially strong partner

According to a report published in Handelsblatt (online edition of 16.11.11), manroland is about to welcome a new major shareholder. A spokesperson for the major shareholder and former parent company MAN is quoted as follows: "Allianz Capital Partners and manroland have entered into discussions aimed at finding a long-term solution."
