Kinna, May 26, 2016 – Just about 6 months after DCOS completed the press extension of Amedia Trykk´s Goss Universal press in Lilleström and retrofitted the existing EAE control system, the parties has agreed on a new large project.

This time it is focus on print quality, efficiency and waste savings. The project is not only for the GOSS Universal press but also for the Geoman press from manroland. Both presses will be equipped with DCOS CRC4 closed-loop color and register control system, a total of 24 scanners. The inspection system will be integrated in the new DCOS control system platform on the Goss Universal press. DCOS will overtake Ink, register and water control on the manroland press.

“We have plenty of good experience in cooperating with Amedia since we´ve had many projects together over the years. Amedia already has two installations of our multi-function CRC4 scanners installed on other presses within their group and I believe their experience with our system and us as a partner is a major factor for us to win this order”, says Mattias Andersson, managing director at DCOS.

A condition for Amedia to invest was the investment had to be paid off in less than 24 months. Based on data from their running inspection system installations, the parties have together created a reliable ROI calculation that well fit the condition of 24 months return of investment.

“The great results we see on our existing installations in combination with the experience of a short start-up time that contributes to more or less instant savings has been our key factors. With our condensed ROI time, we also needed a system free from consumable costs or reoccurring calibration costs. So finally our choice was not too complicated”, says Morten Kringler, plant manager, Amedia Trykk

The installation and start-up will be carried out in summer 2016.
