User-friendly navigation – Innovative tools for applicants – Responsive design for mobile devices

Sassenberg, Germany, 28.07.2016 – New online presence of technotrans AG. The design focused primarily on user-friendliness and optimisation for mobile devices. In addition, the system supplier and cooling and fluid technology specialist has introduced a new applicant management system.

In addition to the technical upgrade, a high level of user-friendliness was at the core of the website relaunch of the company from the German Münsterland region. On the technotrans home page, the plain and clear "hamburger" icon – a well-established symbol with three horizontal, parallel lines – leads to the target-group-specific information. Visitors can quickly obtain extensive content through the menu items Industries, Products, Services, Company, Investor Relations, Press and Career. The subpages of the home page also have a clear structure. "We have specifically decided to adopt simple and easy menu guidance," explains Henry Brickenkamp, spokesman of the Board of Directors of technotrans AG. For him, the new website is the digital business card of the company: "It is very important that the website's visitors can register the major points of the content at a quick glance." The central navigation provides interested visitors, customers, shareholders, employees and job applicants with the necessary information with just one click. The website describes the advantages of the various technotrans solutions and also lists the contact persons of the corresponding areas.

"The availability and correct presentation of the website on mobile devices plays an important role. This is why we have adopted a responsive design," says Henry Brickenkamp. The website automatically adapts to the varying requirements of smartphones, PCs or tablets in terms of the on-screen presentation and resolution.

Apart from news concerning the products and business areas of the company, the users can also access the upgraded human resources area and the new applicant management system. To broaden the trainees' and apprentices' skills in using digital media, they blog about their work.
