Regensburg/Singapore, 03.08.2016 – With immediate effect, industry insider and print expert Tim Klappe has assumed overall responsibility for the APAC sales office of the German manufacturer for printing software. He now plans to establish the software company as the leading provider of software solutions for the print industry, publishers and media companies in and around Asia and Australia.

Dutchman Tim Klappe takes over responsibility as the managing director of Singapore-based OneVision Software APAC Ltd with immediate effect. OneVision has therefore managed to acquire the services of a true industry insider and an expert on the print industry. With more than 25 years’ experience in the Asia-Pacific region under his belt, Klappe is considered a “veteran” of the print industry; a man with a keen interest in optimizing printing processes and therefore the procedures of printing companies in particular.

Klappe has already had a variety of managerial functions in trading companies like Ferrostaal and Norde International, which market integrated solutions combine printing machines and the corresponding print software. Prior to this, Klappe was responsible for developing the Asian operations of leading printing machine manufacturers like Heidelberg Druckmaschinen and Manroland in his role as managing director and senior vice president of the relevant sales offices in Indonesia and the Asia-Pacific.

The 52-year-old, whose wide-ranging areas of responsibility have already taken him to six countries across southeast Asia, and so not only has far-reaching expertise in the entire printing process, from the prepress stage via printing to processing, both in conventional commercial printing and in digital printing. He also brings with him an in-depth knowledge of the entire Asia-Pacific region.

“We are pleased that we were able to attract Tim Klappe to our company. And we are convinced that his long experience, his comprehensive know-how about printing processes, and his far-reaching network spanning Asia and the Pacific will prove a genuine asset for the success of OneVision Software APAC,” says Hussein Khalil, the CEO of OneVision Software AG.

Tim Klappe is also looking forward to tackling his new professional challenges. “I have always believed the core element of my activity is to increase the efficiency of printing processes for commercial and digital printing companies – essentially the graphics industry – so they can complete more print runs in high quality in a shorter space of time,” Klappe says. “Good workflows and tools are the most important prerequisites for smooth-running printing and high print quality. OneVision’s software solutions not only combine the different printing procedure but also bundle all the processes at the print and media prepress stage.”

Another reason why Klappe chose the German-based company is because OneVision’s software solutions are helping guide the transition to digital printing and digital publishing. “My main task will be to increase OneVision’s prominence,” he says. “In principle, the applications deliver exactly the type of solutions printing companies and publishers are seeking for their prepress and premedia activities to enable them to work with greater efficiency and speed, and in higher quality. Unfortunately, that has remained a well-kept secret up to now in the region in and around southeast Asia and Australia. I therefore must and want to change that as soon as possible.”
