Print is on the up once more

06.10.16 – The latest issue of KBA Report is out now and readers can look forward to a comprehensive review of drupa 2016, alongside articles on key innovations and practice reports from users representing the most varied markets and regions. In the editorial for the 49th issue of the customer magazine, Claus Bolza-Schünemann, CEO of Koenig & Bauer AG, comments that the print industry can be satisfied with the outcome of its recent trade show: “For all those who earn their money with or through print, drupa 2016 was a good trade show. After some difficult years, print made a dynamic comeback in Düsseldorf – with proven and new technologies and even more applications.”

Issue 49 of the customer magazine KBA Report takes a closer look at some of innovations unveiled at the recent drupa 2016 trade show.

The focus of the print sector was placed firmly on the growth segments digital, packaging and industrial functional printing, as well as the increasing integration of products, processes and people in the direction of Industry 4.0. KBA Report No. 49 delivers detailed insights into the new inkjet presses RotaJET L for web-fed commercial, publication and functional printing and VariJET 106 – Powered by Xerox for digital folding carton production, both of which were showcased at drupa 2016. Further important topics are future-oriented technologies such as LED-UV, migration-free flexo printing using water-based inks, the new rotary screen printing press Rapida RSP 106 for luxury finishing, and KBA-Sheetfed's entry into the post-press segment.

The thematic spectrum of the 52-page magazine is as broad as the KBA product range.

KBA Report is available in German, English, French, Spanish and Italian.
