WAN-IFRA has been providing a global and international certification since 2005. The quality analysis are based mainly on the ISO 12647-3 (2013), Coldset Newspaper Standard. The certification process has had several 100+ important checks that checks the conformance against IO 12647-3, 2013 and standard print production operation procedures as well. These are added down through the years.
The quality analysis today consists of a total of 100+ quality parameters that are analysed. These quality parameters are drawn from the following ISO standards: 12647, 5-3, 5-4, 2846-2, 12635, 3664 and 15930.
Following printing plants print sites proved their ability to make a succesful certification in the history. However valid renewal is manadatory to re-certification
The certification is valid for two years and must be renewed once in two years to continue validity of the certification from WAN-IFRA.

Note:
WAN-IFRA certification consists of an evaluation of printing quality based on measurements taken during monthly printing tests carried out over a six-month period, an audit in the printing plant and visual assessment of the general printing quality. The audit includes a workflow analysis, exposure tests and the production of a test print carried out in the presence of the auditor.
