Tomas Brunegård is the President of WAN-IFRA &  CEO of Sweden's Stampen Group, a position he has held since 2004. Previously, he was CEO of Göteborgs-Posten from 1996-2004. Before that he was Deputy COO of Burger King Sweden, 1993-1996. From 1987-1993 he was Management Consultant for Ingemar Claesson Konsult AB.  Brunegård is a Board Member for several organisations, including: 

  • Stampen Group (CEO)
  • Swedish Newspaper Publishers´ Association (Chairman)
  • The Swedish Exhibition & Congress Centre
  • Swedmedia (Chairman)
  • Gothenburg School of Business, Economics and Law
  • West Sweden Chamber of Commerce and Industry

He is also a member of the jury for the Gebran Tueni Award (Beirut Lebanon), which encourages press freedom in the Middle East. Various executive programmes include:
