The 'Young Men' photojournalism project, part of the Arab Newspaper Development Programme (ANDP), portrays the everyday life, faces and dreams of a particular generation of young men in Denmark and the Middle East. In the autumn of 2010, three Danish and three Arabic photojournalists crossed the Mediterranean from respectively north and south, in order to perform a special task. In Copenhagen, Beirut, Cairo and Algiers they were to research, find and portray a personal history about young men born in the 1980s. The mission was to document the everyday life, the faces and the dreams of a unique group of people sharing the same age, the same sex and the same planet, yet living on opposite sides of a great divide.
