André Ferreira is Coordinator of Process Engineering at Infoglobo, one of the most important newspaper companies in Brazil. He is responsible for the acceptance process of all production raw materials, technical support to the production plant and print quality assurance. Since the begining of his carrer, in 1998, he has worked in the newspaper industry. In the last years, he was responsible for the technical acceptance of the new CTP machines, he contributed technically to the commissioning of the new print units, installed to increase the colour capacity, and also with the technical specification of the new insert machines, installed last year.

André graduated in Production Engineering and is in the process of obtaining a black belt certification in lean six sigma methodology. He is member of the internal lean six sigma comission, responsible to implement the methodology in all production area and he also contributes as member in the industrial technology commission of ANJ (National Association of Newspaper).
