Head of Strategy for The Times and The Sunday Times

Responsible for commercial strategy for circa £150m multi-platform advertising revenue across all Times Media platforms: print, tablet, web, mobile. Key challenge is to achieve commercial growth through an evolving trading model alongside platform, brand and advertising innovation. Our evolving trading model particularly focuses on leveraging the wealth of data we have as a result of multiple touch-points with a resolutely paying audience.  The Head of Strategy role is increasingly involved in business evaluation of potential new acquisition & investment opportunities.

Career started working at media agencies for both Group M and Aegis groups on a variety of blue chip brands including American Express, Royal Mail, Nationwide Building Society & Cussons. Moved to News UK in 2006 as a Communications Strategist to help promote their evolving multi-platform sales proposition (including The Sun, The Times and The Sunday Times) to media planning and strategy teams at agencies and clients, championing the effectiveness of newspaper brands in an increasingly digital world.   Was heavily involved in launching ‘thelondonpaper’ afternoon freesheet within the News UK portfolio.
