G. Anand is in charge human resources, legal affairs and social initiatives for the Mathrubhumi Group (print, FM radio, online and television). Before joining the company (in 2000 for a year and then returning in 2005), he was had of the state offices in Kerala and Hyderabad for the Confederation of Indian Industry, travelling to Uzbekistan and Kazakstan for the organization. His degress, including a master of law, are from the University of Calicut. He is a member of the Local Area Environment Committee for Eloor & Edayar appointed by the Supreme Court Monitoring Committee on Hazardous Waste Management and wasformerly a member of the state executive committee of the World Wide Fund for Nature in Kerala.
