Prof. Sreekumar is a faculty member of The Industrial Design Centre at IIT Mumbai. He is also a visiting faculty for Fine Arts at, M.S. University, Baroda;  NIFT Mumbai; Symbiosis Institute of Design; MIT Pune; IIIT Jabalpur, and IIT Guwahati. He is a Member of Text Book Committee, NCERT, Govt of India.

Until June 2000, Prof. Sreekumar worked for magazines, newspapers and television as cartoonist, illustrator, infograhics designer and art director. He had stints with various regional magazines, Doordarshan, The Times of India, Indian Express, Intelligent Investor and Jasubhai Digital Media.

Prof. Sreekumar is a graduate in Applied Arts and holds a post graduation in Visual Communication.
