For more than 20 years, Gerard he has been involved in activities to attract young readers and their parents to newspapers. He is still helping print editions all over the world, most recently Ghana, India, Italy, Jordan Korea, Norway, Philippines, Portugal, Sudan, United Kingdom and South Africa. Gerard is the inventor of the Reading Passport and led the team to invent WAN-IFRA's World Newspaper Reading Passport, which is in more than ten languages and in the hands of millions of children worldwide. Also, he created the World Football Reading Passport.
