Kaisa Aalto has been working for Sanoma News and SanomaWSOY in various positions since 2007. As the development manager, she is now responsible for the development of Helsingin Sanomat eReading, i.e. paid digital content in tablets, mobile and desktop, both applications and web.
Aalto has experience in business and product development in the field of online media, including strategy, business development, concept development, product development and project execution in digital media. Also a grasp of user engagement, brand management and online marketing.

Professional background consists also of project management of (GIS) software projetcs, and technical sales support and consultancy in the field of GIS. Also web cartography is a field of expertise.

She also has experience in working abroad in a developing country (Egypt) in a development co-operation project in the field of GIS and IT. As an adviser (junior) and as an acting Project Manager / Team leader in charge.
