Sara Öhrvall writes columns about technology and innovation for Sweden’s leading financial daily, Dagens Industri, and is a board member of Bonnier Publications, Bisnode, Nobel Museum and Umeå University. Sara was previously SVP, Global Research & Development at Bonnier. Sara initiated Bonnier’s R&D efforts, responsible for new concept and product development of global digital media products, and built an R&D team. Bonnier R&D is among other things behind the Mag+ concept, a platform for digital magazines launched together with Popular Science in 2010. During 2009-2011, Sara was responsible for starting up Bonnier’s R&D initiative in Silicon Valley. Sara has previously worked at Toyota in Tokyo and Volvo Cars in Brussels and Singapore, where she was head of concept development of jeep, sports and eco cars. Other experiences include CEO and partner of brand agency Differ and founder of the innovation-focused consulting firm Ninety. She has an MBA from Umeå Business School in Sweden and has also studied architecture and design at Parsons School of Design in New York and philosophy at New York University.
