Terou has more than 40 years of experience newspaper production. He started at Shizuoka Shimbun (Newspaper) and then moved on to Commercial printing in the USA. Then he came back to The Shizuoka Shimbun in taking care of  Printing & Distribution Dept. Later he became the Director, Chief of Production Technology Bureau and then became the President of Shizuoka Shimbun Printing Ltd. He has  Retired from Shizuoka Shimbun from June 2012.
