Vicus Bürger is an award-winning journalist who started his career at the daily newspaper Volksblad in 2007. He is currently the assistant news editor of this title, which is part of the Media24 Group in South Africa. Bürger is the project manager and one of the founders of the interactive comic strip SkoolBLUES, which tackles teenage issues like suicide, anorexia and drug abuse. The purpose of the project is to attract younger readers to Volksblad and, most importantly, to make a difference in the lives of teenagers.
