Its objective is to encourage innovation and productivity as well as product development that can be instrumental for publishers to exploit future oriented news media products.     23.06.2015 – A new survey into the preferences of consumers for printed versus digital communications has been published today by ‘Two Sides’; the global initiative which addresses the misconceptions of paper use as a communications medium. The survey, which was commissioned by Two Sides and undertaken by international research company Toluna, sought the opinions and preferences of 500 consumers in the UK and 1,000 in the US on a number of issues relating to the switch from paper-based to digital media.     UPM-Kymmene Corporation – Stock exchange release – 22 June 2015 at 9:30 EET – UPM permanently closes paper machine No.3 at UPM Chapelle Darblay in France as of today, 22 June. The consultations regarding its closure were finalised at the end of April and approved by the Labour administration in the beginning of June. The plan to close the machine was announced in November 2014. The closure has an impact on 187 positions at the mill. Read more ...
