NEWSPRINT AND INK TESTING

IGT Printability testerIts essential for any company to get the suitable quality raw material for production and testing it often confirms the quality of input materials before actually consuming in the  production floor. So, WAN-IFRA's RMTC has provisions to test materials for newspaper production. RMTC is equipped with material testing instruments like IGT printability tester, grammage tester, etc, where we study the properties of the material and check the confirmity against standards like iSO 12647-3 and ISO 2846-2  and DIN 19306-4. Also, we offer research and study approach on material testing study the performance of raw material before its been used in the shop floor. So, WAN-IFRA offers a detailed testing and study on newsprint and news ink materials.

RMTC offer technical ISO 12647-3 for cold-set web off-set and Newspaper production and its adopted by many global newspapers. This certification verifies conformance of workflow procedures & quality of reproduction of a newspaper printing plant to the specifications of ISO 12647-3. Its the only international technical certification available for newspaper

RMTC also offer other classical ISO certifications to meet customer requirements, enhance customer satisfaction, improve quality across operations and meet business objectives consistently. This includes consultation and certification services for ISO 9001 (Quality Management), ISO 14001 (Environmental Management), ISO 45001 (Health & Safety).

BENCHMARKING NEWSPAPER PRODUCTION EFFICIENCY (KPI)

Benchmarking Newspaper Production KPIIn 2016, WAN-IFRA did a benchmarking e-KPI ‘s for newspaper production, where a total of total of 31 printing plants across India had participated. In continuation of the previous benchmarking project, WAN-IFRA propose an extension project “Benchmarking Newspaper Production KPI“.

This benchmarking project will focus on 15 high prior newspaper production KPI‘s with newly added KPI‘s like Capacity utilization, OEE, Inventory, Renewable energy, Printed waste, Direct variable Consumables efficiency, Print finish and will help production plants to assess their own manufacturing efficiency and compare with other similar production setup & print sites.

Existing participant will also get the opportunity to compare their previous benchmarking.

QUALITY EVALUATION AUDIT & SERVICE  (QES)

Quality Evaluation Service - WorkflowQuality Evaluation Service offered by RMTC has the objective to evaluate the whole workflow right from Pre-press and Press which assist to produce quality print consistently. This objective is the most critical for the satisfaction of advertisers and readers and to operate the PRESS at optimum or minimum cost. To achieve this goal, consistent process control procedures and proven standards like ISO 12647-3 must be established and practiced. In this consulting project, all the departments that are responsible for the good quality of reproduction of the newspaper will be examined and any weak points in any of the departments will be identified during the audit phase. Then, modifications, improvements and recommendations will be done to standardise the production in accordance to international standards (ISO 12647-3).
