    27.12.2018 – One of the most extensive investment projects in the European newspaper industry is currently heading into its final phase. Since 2017, Belgium’s biggest newspaper printing plant, Coldset Printing Partners (CPP), has been renovating the printing section at its Paal-Beringen site. In future, there will be five production lines instead of four. (NYSE: RFP) (TSX: RFP) today announced that, on December 31, 2018, it completed the previously disclosed sale of the Catawba, South Carolina, paper and pulp mill to New-Indy Containerboard, LLC ("New-Indy"), pursuant to the terms of the asset purchase agreement dated October 2, 2018. The total purchase price of about $300 million consists of $260 million in cash, before customary closing adjustments, and the assumption of approximately $40 million of balance sheet liabilities, largely net pension benefit obligations.     11.12.2018 – The Swiss newspaper market has been in a continual state of flux for several years now. Following Ringier AG’s decision to close its newspaper printing plant in Adligenswil near Lucerne at the end of 2018, the print runs produced there will be transferred to other plants: Blick and Luzerner Zeitung, for example, are already coming out of the Zurich printing centre. November 2018 können die rund 1.700 Mitarbeiter am Standort ihre Pausenzeiten in den runderneuerten Räumlichkeiten verbringen.
