World Young Reader Prize
The World Young Reader prize honors excellence in news publisher engagement of the young. The basic categories are Brand, Editorial, Public Service, News in Education and Enduring Excellence. The Natasa Prize honors newspaper printing plants that help in this work. The jury also names a World Young Reader News Publisher of the Year and establishes special categories.

Our prize jury includes past, multiple World Young Reader Prize winners who we made retire because they were consistently beating everyone else. However, that doesn’t mean they have stopped doing great work in helping their newspapers engage the young in meaningful ways.

The Natasa Prize for Printing Plants category of the World Young Reader Prize goes to a newspaper printing plant that has an effective eductional programme to teach the young about newspaper journalism and about the importance and fragility of a free press.
