06.04.11 - Around 35 representatives from the publishing industry accepted alfa Media's invitation to attend the roadshow on March 29, 2011 in Frankfurt. This gave participants an opportunity to familiarize themselves with the seamless interaction of the alfa Media editorial components.
Peter Drinkguth, Sales Manager at alfa Media, opened the event with his presentation on the concept, philosophy and strategy behind the product family. He provided an overview of the broad alfa Media portfolio in the editorial area.
As Cross-media Coordinator at the "Augsburger Allgemeine", Günther Vollath oversaw the introduction of alfa MediaSuite to the Bavarian media company from the very start. In his presentation, he offered an impressive insight into the motivation, implementation and experience involved in realizing cross-media publishing.
The afternoon session saw Rainer M. Wilbert from the Application Competence area at alfa Media demonstrate cross-media functionalities using tools by alfa Media: authoring with alfa MediaSuite, online publishing using alfa PortalSuite and last but not least, mobile publishing with alfa MobileSuite.
In addition to these highly technical presentations, there was plenty of time for intensive exchanges between guests and alfa Media. Interesting aspects, some of which also only emerged as a result of the discussion, made the roadshow a great success for participants and alfa Media in equal measure," according to Rainer Lang, Sales and Marketing Manager at alfa Media, "we came away from this event having gained important insights.“
