An integrated solution from Beil Registersysteme for plate processing and logistics to help close the automation gap between prepress and printing.

Last autumn, the Mittelrhein-Verlag in Koblenz, Germany, ordered KBA Commander CT 6/2 compact press for its new printing centre that is scheduled to commence operation in 2012. As was announced recently (PresseBox, see also Article-ID 13365), Beil Registersysteme in Abemsberg will supply a cutting, punching, edge-bending and sorting installation with a maximum throughput of about 1000 plates per hour as well as a modular logistics solution for plate management.

After processing, the plates will be sorted into plate magazines on 32 transport vehicles and taken to the printing tower.
