26.09.11 - The 5th biggest newspaper company in Finland, Suomen Lehtiythimä Tuusulan Paino “SLY” has recently invested in a big pre press package from Krause for its Tuusula printing site through the local Krause dealer KTA-YHTIÖT OY.
With the investment in 2 lines of the brand new LS Jet Multiformat 350 with a capacity of more than 260 plates per hour and CTP line SLY is continuing a more than 10 years` partnership with Krause. “The whole package just perfectly met our requirements of a customized workflow integrating also of our other plants in Lohja
and Hämeenlinna, a reliable high speed CTP for a just-in-time production in
combination with the modern lo-chem technology from Fujifilm”, says Carola Mäkipaja, Project Manager at SLY.
“We felt very comfortable having KTA and Krause as a partner and system integrator, working hand in hand right from the beginning. The project was realized in several phases and we could count on a professional assistance from day 1 on. Even when we had special workflow requirements we raised up only during the installation phase, new features had been implemented within short notice and we are proud to work with the most advanced technology”, adds Carola.
The two Kraus LS Jet 350 Multiformat lines with Juwel optics for highest quality have been installed in two independent premises. One in is located very close to the Wifag GTD press whereas the other line is located in the traditional platemaking room. Each line comes with the Krause BlueFin plate processor for industrial newspaper making, destined for the lochem technology as well as punch/bending and sorting from Nela. The lines are controlled via the Krause JetNet workflow with a very high level of automization like automatic page pairing, adding of plate furniture, ink preset, softproof and output control.
