The J.C.C. Bruns Betriebs GmbH in Minden, Germany is part of a group with commercial and newspaper production. The group holds an official publication sheet, a city magazine, edits a telephone book and trades office equipment also. Bruns Betriebs GmbH starts the complete replacement of its newspaper production facilities.
The ordered press in the Berlin format comprises three double-width / double-around four-high printing towers WIFAG evolution 371, three reelstands autopaster M and one jaw folder 2:5:5. Equipped with a folder superstructure of three formers, a movable Skip-Slitter and with the option to add a ribbon stitcher, the press is able to produce a maximum of 48 pages, combined in Broadsheet and Tabloid sections.
Thanks to WIFAGs drive and control system platform+, extended with color and cut off register controls the press has a high degree of automation which results in a constant low start up waste figure and in a consistent print quality. The WIFAG own control system also allows the future extension of the press with offset or ink jet based printing units from WIFAG.
The complete replacement of the newspaper production facilities at J.C.C. Bruns Betriebs GmbH starts with the mail room equipment. The new WIFAG evolution 371 will be delivered at the beginning of 2014 and will be ready for operation by the second quarter of 2014.
