Possible closure of Norske Skog Follum

In a press release of 25 November 2011, Norske Skog's corporate management recommends to the board of directors to close down production at Follum by 31 March 2012 latest.

356 employees will be affected. The mill, with an annual production capacity of 290 000 tonnes, produces improved newsprint, magazine paper and book paper. Norske Skog’s mills in Skogn and Halden shall maintain full operations for the time being.
