According to a report posted on the Meedia media blog on 19 January 2012, critics reacted promptly to the announcement by the Axel Springer publishing corporation of its intention to deliver a free copy of the Bild newspaper to all German homes on 24 June to mark the newspaper's 60th anniversary.

According to the Meedia report, special "Bild, no thanks!" mailbox stickers are already being prepared, as is a letter aimed at prohibiting the delivery in advance.

A challenge for production and logistics: Under these conditions it will not only be difficult to accurately assess the length of the required print run, but also to correctly carry out the delivery operation.
