Around a week ago the two journalists were sent to the Syrian city of Idlib, approximately 100 miles north of Homs. The magazine confirmed that the pair did indeed arrive in Idlib, but that they hadn't been able to reach them for the past four days.

According to to the Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ), eight journalists have been killed in Syria since November.

After being controlled mostly by Opposition fighters since it fell into the hands of military defectors last summer, the balance of power in Idlib is once again shifting towards the Syrian military.

The city is almost completely isolated from the rest of the world, with phonically to the area impossible to connect making it extremely difficult to get news out of the besieged city.
